BERRIES AND FALSE PEPPERCORNS

These berries, seeds, pods, pericarps or mini-clusters, are called "false peppers", or peppery berries, to differentiate them from Piper nigrum. Although some of these plants come from the genus Piper, their appearance, fragrance and taste clearly distinguish them from classic black pepper. Their spiciness, flavour and use, however, are reminiscent of pepper enough to be associated with in the name. These exceptional and atypical spices multiply the possibilities in the kitchen and delight pepper lovers!
