One of the rare spices to come from Africa they can be used in the same way as black pepper. As strong and hot as black pepper but with a different flavour, these small pyramid-shaped seeds can be used to flavour soups, lamb dishes, aubergines and potatoes, and for mulled wine. Use them to give an original twist to classic recipes such as stuffed tomatoes. Ideal as table pepper for rice, pasta and meat dishes. Grind in a pepper mill or blender.
