Description

Papaver somniferum
Beautiful blue seeds with a pleasant light aroma and taste. Perfect roasted then sprinkled over rolls and cakes or mixed into sauces for vegetables, rice and salads. In Asian cooking poppy seeds are often used to thicken sauces instead of flour. Experiment by adding them to your favourite chocolate cake recipe, or try a lemon and poppy seed cake.
