French salt from the salt pans of Aigues-Mortes in the Camargue. An exceptional site covering several thousand hectares with mild winters and hot summers, a natural reserve home to many protected animal and plant species (it is the most important reserve for pink flamingos in Europe). A salt producing region since antiquity its ecosystem that has been protected and preserved within its wild landscape.
Coarse salt: large crystals of raw salt, ideal for salting, making a salt crust for cooking and for stocks.
