Piper nigrum
Grown and selected according to ancestral traditions of Penja, in the heart of the Cameroon, they are picked by hand before they are fully ripe, and dried in the sun for several days. A pepper to try for its character and exceptional flavour. Powerful, fiery and full-bodied, it goes particularly well with red meat, potatoes and pears poached in syrup.
