Description

Piper nigrum
Black peppercorns are picked before they are totally ripe, whereas white peppercorns are left until completely ripe. They are then left to ferment before the outer husk (tegument) is removed. This gives a more subtle aroma, a milder taste with a hint of musk and less heat than black peppercorns. Grind over pasta, mashed potato, fish and creamy white sauces.
