Oolong blue tea is known as one of the best teas. An oolong tea combines the fragrant aromas of a green with the roundness and sweetness of a black tea.
The story goes that a gatherer who had to go away to hunt an animal found his picking the next day a different color and a pleasant smell. An oxidation process had started, the tea masters master it today to perfection and offer us this oolong tea of exceptional finesse.
This one comes from the province of Fujian in China, its name Tie guan yin means the «iron goddess of mercy».
Its rolled leaves with blue reflections earned it its name of tea «blue». They come from an extremely controlled oxidation and roasting process that gives them sweetness and these very specific notes.
It has a very fragrant nose with notes of hazelnut and red fruits and excellent length associated with a beautiful roundness and a slight bitterness.
Low in theine but loaded with polyphenols, this tea is a natural antioxidant.
to infuse 3-4 min in 90°C water. Convenient: you can infuse this tea at least 3 times by adding 1 min each time and removing the leaves between each infusion.
