Zataria multiflora
This harvest of wild thyme flowers comes to us directly from Iran. They are harvested at altitude in the Karkass mountain range. Also known as zaatar flowers, it is this variety that is used to compose this famous spice blend.
They exude a powerful and intense floral aroma, lemony with slightly aniseed and mentholated notes. A subtle flavor that makes you want to use it everywhere!
Sprinkle on baked potatoes, poultry cutlets, roasted vegetables. To integrate into a marinade, a yogurt sauce, a tomato sauce.
Ideal as an infusion for its medicinal properties, try it with rose buds for a soothing drink.
