Description

Zingiber officinalis

A finely ground powder with a milder flavour than that of fresh ginger but with the same powerful yet delicate aroma. It is used in the same way as fresh ginger. Try it to season casseroles, sweet and sour sauces, pastries (absolutely wonderful added to a biscuit mix), can be added to mulled wine and planter's punch. Marries very well with any dish which includes fried garlic.
