Mexican chipotle is the dry, smoky form of Jalapeño green chilli pepper. With its medium strength (6/10 on the Scoville scale), it gives its powerful and smoky flavor to tomato sauces, olive oil marinades, avocados, pizzas. In sauce, it can be served as a chutney giving a warm and slightly sweet touch to poultry, white meats, quesadillas and empanadas.
